<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a residual capacity measuring device which does not require a zero correction and a temperature correction. <P>SOLUTION: A residual capacity measuring device comprises: measuring means which measures data related to a residual capacity; storing means which stores a preliminary set table of the residual capacity as well as an upper limit of the residual capacity of a preliminary set battery and stores the data related to the residual capacity measured by the measuring means; and a calculation device which calculates the residual capacity of the battery based on the data related to the residual capacity stored in the storing means. The residual capacity measuring device: successively stores, in the storing means, the measured data related to the residual capacity of the battery while charging or discharging; calculates the residual capacity of the battery based on the data related to the residual capacity of the battery stored in the storing means; updates the upper limit of the residual capacity with the residual capacity of the battery when the residual capacity of the battery exceeds the upper limit of the residual capacity at an end of charging the battery; and corrects the residual capacity of the battery based on the table of the residual capacity at the end of discharging the battery. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
