<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for testing the quality of glass plate in which scratches difficult to detect by the visual inspection and optical inspection are made possible to be detected, and a non-defective product can be inhibited from being damaged. <P>SOLUTION: The method for testing the quality of the glass plate includes a processing step in which thermal shock is given to the glass plate 10. The processing step includes a heating step of heating the glass plate 10, and a cooling step of cooling the glass plate 10. In the processing step, the temperature change width of at least a part of the glass plate 10 is 200°C or more, and in the heating process, the upper limit of the heating temperature of the glass plate 10 is the temperature of the strain point of the glass plate 10 minus 340°C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
