<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus which prevents pixels being the background from being determined as the foreground and prevents pixels being the foreground from being determined as the background, with respect to an image having a chromatic background. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus comprises: image acceptance means which accepts an image having a chromatic background; area extraction means which extracts an area including two colors from the image accepted by the image acceptance means; counting means which counts the number of pixels having each pixel value in a predetermined color space, with respect to the image of the area extracted by the area extraction means; and determination means which determines the pixels of the image in the area to the foreground or the background on the basis of the result of counting by the counting means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
