PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data recording system capable of recording so as to facilitate management of a plurality of recorded data files when recording digital data divided into multiple data files.

SOLUTION: A data recording system comprises: a dividing section 102 for dividing digital data into one or more files and store the digital data into a temporary save area 108; a file number acquiring section 106 for acquiring the number of files stored in a directory; a directory selecting section 105 for selecting a storage location directory by comparing the sum of the number of files and the number of files stored in the temporary save area 108 with the maximum number of files; and a file recording section for recording the files stored in the temporary save area 108 into the storage location directory selected by the directory selecting section 105.
