摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electro-optic device, in which a temperature of a region irradiated with light is measured by use of simple wiring and an image is displayed in accordance with the measured temperature. <P>SOLUTION: A reflective liquid crystal panel is provided, including a region a12 displaying black in a periphery of an effective display region a11 where pixel electrodes in contact with a liquid crystal are arranged and an image is displayed. A region a2 including pixel electrodes sequentially connected to function as a resistor and displaying black is present in a periphery of the region a12. A region a3 having an array of pixel electrodes and displaying black is provided in a periphery of the region a2. A region b of a light-shielding layer that blocks light is provided in a periphery of the region a3. The light incident to the liquid crystal panel is blocked in the region b. A signal at a preliminarily determined voltage is applied to both ends of the region a2 functioning as a resistor, and by measuring a current flowing between the ends of the region a2, the temperature of the liquid crystal in contact with the pixel electrodes can be measured.
