<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assembling method of a turbine shaft seal which facilitates the attachment/detachment of the shaft seal in a steam turbine which is limited in a work space, and a jig. <P>SOLUTION: The method assembles the turbine shaft seal which receives a pressurizing fluid into a housing from the outside and seals a rotating shaft. A seal plate is inserted into a groove of the lower-half housing from the circumferential direction of the rotating shaft, the first jig having a mount shape which protrudes to the inside and the outside of the radial direction in an axial cross section view is inserted into the gap between the seal plate and the ceiling face of the groove in the circumferential direction of the rotating shaft, the seal plate is moved to the inside direction of the radial direction along the side face of the groove while moving the first jig in the circumferential direction, and the seal plate is pressed to the inside direction of the radial direction by receiving the pressurizing fluid into the groove, thus making the seal plate abut on the external surface of the rotating shaft. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
