<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning apparatus that reduces liquid to be consumed during cleaning operation, a cleaning method, and a liquid ejecting apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The cleaning apparatus includes: a detection part that detects a liquid ejection state of each of a plurality of nozzles formed in an ejection surface of a liquid jet head; a holding part that is movably provided, has a facing part facing the ejection surface, and holds a granular member holding a liquid; a replacement part for replacing the granular member held by the facing part; and a control part that controls the holding part so as to allow the liquid of the defective nozzle which has been detected as defective by the detection part, to be adhered to the granular member and allows the replacement part to perform replacement operation for replacing the granular member with the adhered liquid. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
