<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect consumption of a battery with high accuracy without degrading the print preparation efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: A print label preparation apparatus 1 includes a thermal head control circuit 217 for energizing at least one of a plurality of heating elements of a thermal head 23 according to the print data, a motor drive circuit 216 for controlling the drive of a tape feed roller driving shaft 108, a battery accommodating unit 70 for accommodating a battery BT for supplying the power to the circuits, and an A/D input circuit 219 for detecting the output voltage value of the battery BT, detects the non-energization timing at which no heating element is energized, or the uniform energization timing at which the energization is uniformly executed during the generating operation of a print label L, and determines the degree of consumption of the battery BT based on the feed voltage Vf or the uniform print voltage Vb detected at each timing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
