PROTECTING CIRCUIT FOR PARALLEL CONNECTED BATTERY BANKS

A protecting circuit for parallel connected battery banks (7) includes a first switch unit (1) connected between the positive terminal of the parallel connected battery banks (7) and the positive terminal of the protecting circuit, a second switch unit (2) connected between the negative terminal of the parallel connected battery banks (7) and the negative terminal of the protecting circuit, a voltage sampling unit (4) with one terminal connected to the positive terminal of the protecting circuit and another terminal connected to the control terminal of the second switch unit (2), a current sampling unit (6) with one terminal connected to the negative terminal of the protecting circuit and another terminal connected to an input terminal of a comparing unit (5), a reference unit (3) and the comparing unit (5) with another input terminal connected to the reference unit (3) and an output terminal connected to the control terminal of the first switch unit (1). The protecting circuit solves the problems of high temperature and load damage caused by an excessive current produced by an excessive voltage difference between the parallel connected battery banks when the battery banks are used in parallel.
