Device comprises at least one reservoir (1) for a medium (2), a dosing chamber (4) connected with the reservoir, a first valve (30) between the reservoir and the dosing chamber, a device brought in flow connection with the dosing chamber for producing a negative pressure, and a second valve between the dosing chamber and the target system. The first valve is provided and arranged to open until the pressure difference between the reservoir and the dosing chamber are balanced by inflow of medium contained in the reservoir. Device comprises at least one reservoir (1) for a medium (2), a dosing chamber (4) connected with the reservoir, which is connected in working condition with the target system, a first valve (30) between the reservoir and the dosing chamber, a device brought in flow connection with the dosing chamber for producing a negative pressure for creating the negative pressure in the dosing chamber with closed first valve to produce a predefinable pressure difference between the dosing chamber and the reservoir, and a second valve between the dosing chamber and the target system (6). The first valve is provided and arranged to open until the pressure difference between the reservoir and the dosing chamber are balanced by inflow of medium contained in the reservoir, when the second valve is closed. Independent claims are also included for: (1) the device for the hygienic processing of medical or dental instruments comprising the dosing device; and (2) dosing the predefinable amount of the medium to the target system, comprising predetermining the amount of the medium to be dosed by the pressure difference between at least one reservoir for the medium and the dosing chamber connected with the reservoir.
