<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection type video display device capable of enhancing design flexibility in a housing and achieving reduction in size. <P>SOLUTION: A projector 1, which is a projection type video display device, includes a projection lens 20 which is an optical member for projecting light in a predetermined projection direction to display a video image and a housing 10 for housing the projection lens 20, and is installed on a predetermined installation surface 9. On the bottom surface 16 of the housing 10 facing the installation surface 9, a plate-like member 5 which is rotatable relative to the housing 10 about an axis intersecting the projection direction and a housing part 41 capable of housing the plate-like member 5 are provided. The rotation of the plate-like member 5 relative to the housing 10 changes a protrusion amount of the plate-like member 5 which is the protrusion length of the plate-like member 5 from the bottom surface 16, which is a surface of the housing 10, toward the installation surface 9. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
