Provided are an image processing device, an image processing method, an image processing program, and an endoscope system which are capable of obtaining a distance to a surface of a body tissue stably accurately on the basis of image information obtained by exposure in a single illumination while avoiding an influence of a spectral sensitivity characteristic of the body tissue. A workstation (4) according to the present invention processes image data including reception light value data obtained by taking an image of the inside of a living body in a single exposure, the workstation (4) being provided with a distance data obtaining unit (23) which obtains, in a bright section area of the image data, distance data to the surface of the living body on the basis of the reception light value data of light having a first wavelength band and an exposure period of time, and obtains, in a dark section area of the image data, distance data to the surface of the living body on the basis of the reception light value data of light having a second wavelength band, which is longer than the first wavelength band, and the exposure period of time. |
