The method involves laminating a block portion consisting of electrode layers which are arranged between the piezoelectric layers. The block portion is divided into sub-block portions (4). The shape of the sub-block portion is changed by applying force on the sub-block portion through a constraint element (8), during the binder removal process and sintering process of the sub-block portion. An independent claim is included for plant for manufacturing piezoelectric workpieces.
