METHOD FOR PROCESSING A TOUCH SIGNAL BY THE TOUCH SENSOR CONTROLLER AND APPARATUS THEREOF

PURPOSE: A touch signal processing method of a touch sensor controller and an apparatus thereof are provided to process a signal about a touch event on the touch sensor controller consuming less electricity than a system controller, thereby reducing power consumption of the whole system. CONSTITUTION: A touch sensor controller(20) generates and processes a touch signal about a touch event. A system controller(30) receives the touch signal and performs operation corresponding to the touch signal. If the touch event is a multi-touch, the touch sensor controller generates the touch signal as the other format and transmits it to the system controller. If the touch event is the multi touch, the touch signal is a raw data format. If the touch event is a single touch, the touch signal is a coordinate data format.
