<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evaluate the accuracy of a measurement result of a wavelength resolved Stokes vector. <P>SOLUTION: An apparatus for measuring a wavelength resolved Stokes vector includes: wavelength sweeping means for resolving an inputted optical signal in a specific wavelength band width into a plurality of wavelength components by a wavelength band width narrower than the specific wavelength band width and outputting the wavelength components; four-polarized component intensity extraction means for inputting optical signals of the respective wavelength components and extracting and outputting four mutually different polarized component intensity values of the respective optical signals; and arithmetic means for performing operation based on the four mutually different polarized component intensity values of the optical signals of the respective wavelength components, executing the measurement of wavelength resolved Stokes vectors of the optical signals of the respective wavelength components and the calculation of polarization degrees based on the operation results, evaluating the measurement accuracy of the wavelength resolved Stokes vectors based on differential values between the calculation values of polarization degrees of the optical signals of the respective wavelength components and logical values of the polarization degrees of the optical signals of the respective wavelength components, and outputting the evaluated result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
