<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively suppress a phenomenon in which a skin color in an image looks like a different color due to psychological complementary color. <P>SOLUTION: An image signal adjustment apparatus 10 comprises: a skin color area detection circuit 11 for detecting a skin color area in an image signal; a skin color area expansion circuit 12 which detects a skin color peripheral area that is the peripheral area of the skin color area detected by the skin color area detection circuit 11; a hue detection circuit 13 which detects the pixels of a predetermined hue, in the skin color peripheral area; an integration circuit 14 which integrates the number of pixels of the predetermined hue detected by the hue detection circuit 13; and an image signal adjustment circuit 15 which when the number of pixels of the predetermined hue integrated by the integration circuit 14 exceeds a predetermined threshold, adjusts the image signal of at least one of the skin color in the skin color area or a predetermined hue in the skin color peripheral area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
