<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reading apparatus capable of improving speed to detect a size of a manuscript in a sub-scanning direction (a conveyance direction) in an ADF. <P>SOLUTION: The reading apparatus analyses only an area in a sub-scanning direction (a conveyance direction) of a manuscript corresponding to a size of the manuscript in the main-scanning direction (a direction orthogonal to the conveyance direction) when detecting the size of the manuscript in the sub-scanning direction (conveyance direction). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
