Provided is a mobile X-ray apparatus that aligns the X-ray flat panel detector easily and can be manufactured without using position-detecting sensors and at lower cost, the apparatus being provided with: an X-ray source (50); an X-ray flat panel detector (60) disposed opposite the X-ray source (50); a support (C arm (40)) that links and supports the X-ray source (50) and the X-ray flat panel detector (60); an angle input button (31) that inputs the rotation angle to which the X-ray flat panel detector (60) is to be rotated in the plane containing the X-ray entry face; a rotation control unit (63) and rotation mechanism (61) that rotate the X-ray flat panel detector (60) according to the input rotation angle; an image-generating unit (81) for generating an image of the subject on the basis of detected transmitted X-rays; display units (91, 92) that display said image; and an image-rotating unit (83) that rotates the image displayed on the display unit (91) or (92) according to the amount of rotation of the X-ray flat panel detector (60).
