<p>The invention relates to means for damping liquid and gas pressure pulsations arising during the start-up, operation and shut-down of pumps and the opening and closing of valves or cocks in heating and water pipes in the petroleum industry and in the field of mechanical engineering. The pressure stabilizer comprises a hollow, cylindrical housing having an end plate at each end and encircling a central perforated pipe that is disposed therein and a perforated shell that is coaxial with the central pipe and forms an expansion chamber in conjunction therewith and a damping chamber in conjunction with the housing. The expansion chamber of the stabilizer is divided into two unequal parts by a hermetic radial partition, and the perforations in the central pipe and the shell, corresponding to the high-volume expansion chamber, are arranged at specific angles to the longitudinal axis of the pipe and the radial axis of the cross section of the shell; the damping chamber is divided by two partitions into a left chamber, a right chamber and a central chamber. The invention makes it possible to increase pressure pulsation damping efficiency by using the energy of the pressure pulses themselves.</p> |
