<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a timing method capable of precisely timing a predetermined reference signal, and an electronic musical device. <P>SOLUTION: A current time request command is transmitted from an electronic musical device A to an electronic musical device B, and a transmission time is defined as Ta1. The electronic musical device B replies a current time Tb to the electronic musical device A. The electronic musical device A receives the time Tb that is defined as a time Ta2. It is determined to adjust sound production timing at a time Ta3 ahead of the time Ta2 and at a time when a time Td has past after the time Ta3, and in accordance with which the electronic musical device A performs sound production.
