<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a representative position detection device, a display device, a radar device, a representative position detection method, and a representative position detection program that can detect a position of a target with high accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: With respect to image data generated by an image data generating part 21 on the basis of an echo signal reflected by a target, an area setting part 22 sets a detection area including the target to the image data on the basis of intensity of each pixel of the image data.
