<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray generator capable of preventing a positive ion (arrow B) emitted from an anticathode from colliding with a cathode to give bad influences on a life of the cathode when generating X-rays, with an extremely simple constitution. <P>SOLUTION: An X-ray generator has a cathode 2 for generating electrons; a rotary anticathode 4, which has a cylindrical electron collision face and whose area, in which the electrons collide with the electron collision face, serves as an X-ray focus F; and a Wehnelt electrode 7 for applying an electric field E to the electrons emitted from the cathode 2. The Wehnelt electrode 7 has an electric field formation face 7a forming the electric field E, and an opening 14 for permeating electrons formed by the electric field formation face 7a. The electric field formation face 7a of the Wehnelt electrode 7 is inclined against a tangent surface S2 of an outer periphery of the rotary anticathode 4 at a center of the X-ray focus F. The center of the cathode 2 is located on a surface S3 passing through the center of the opening 14 for emitting electrons and orthogonal to the electric field formation face 7a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
