<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid droplet ejection apparatus which is configured in such a manner that, before a first liquid such as ink for forming an image on a recording medium is ejected, a second liquid for agglomerating or precipitating components of the first liquid is ejected to the recording medium, and the second liquid landed on the recording medium is spread by a rotating roller, and prevents the recording medium from being wound around the roller. <P>SOLUTION: A winding prevention control unit 49 generates an index relating to the amount of the second liquid (processing liquid) interposed between the leading end area Pb of paper P and the upper roller 10a of a pair of leveling rollers 10 disposed in contact with the area Pb, and compares the index with a predetermined threshold. If the index exceeds the predetermined threshold, the winding prevention control unit 49 decreases the amount of second liquid ejected to the leading end area Pb of the paper P or the amount of second liquid sticking to the upper roller 10a in order to reduce the amount of the second liquid interposed between the leading end area Pb of the paper P and the upper roller 10a that is in contact with the area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
