<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anchor member capable of exhibiting a great resistance force against an external force, and capable of preventing the cost and the period of construction from increasing. <P>SOLUTION: An anchor member 1 comprises: deformed steel sheet piles 2 so formed that a lower edge 2b is wider than an upper end 2a and at least one side edge 2c is formed aslant, and having joints 3, 3 along both side edges 2c, 2c; and a plurality of steel sheet piles 4, 4, ... having joints 5, 5 along both side edges 4c, 4c. The steel sheet piles 4, 4 adjacent to both sides of the deformed sheet pile 2 are perpendicular to the deformed sheet pile 2 respectively, and arranged in correspondence with angles of the side edges 2c of the deformed steel sheet piles 2. The deformed steel sheet piles 2 and the steel sheet piles 4, 4 each adjacent to both sides of the deformed steel sheet pile 2 are connected with each other via the mutual joints 3, 5.
