The life estimation device (1) comprises a swelling height estimation means (7) which, from the depth (h2) of an indentation (14) formed in the rolling contact surface (11a, 12a) of either of the inner and outer rings (10, 11) or the indentation size (D1), estimates the swelling height (h1) from the rolling contact surface (11a, 12a) of the indentation (14) in accordance with an established rule, and a life estimation means (8) which, from the relation between the estimated swelling height of the indentation (14) and the decreasing rate of rolling fatigue life, and an equivalent load, estimates the life of the rolling bearing in accordance with an established rule.
