<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a development device and an image forming apparatus that enable suppression of an abrasion trace generated by a developer brush on a developed image. <P>SOLUTION: A development device includes an insulative brush regulation member 145 for regulating the height of a magnetic brush of a developer containing magnetic particles, the member being disposed facing the surface of a developer carrier 142 upstream thereof, in the moving direction, than a facing position where an image carrier 11 on whose surface an electrostatic latent image is formed while moving faces the developer carrier that moves in a direction opposite to that of the image carrier 11 at the facing position, and downstream, in the moving direction of the developer carrier 142, than a layer thickness regulation member 143 for regulating the thickness of the developer transported by the developer carrier 142. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
