<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately monitor the operation states of apparatuses stored in a rack. <P>SOLUTION: An apparatus monitoring device 50 includes: an imaging apparatus for outputting image data obtained by imaging; and a mounting unit 54 where a camera 52 is mounted between a rack 10 and apparatuses to thereby image the apparatuses stored in the rack 10, and which includes a movement mechanism 70 for moving the camera 52 to move the imaged parts of the apparatuses. The movement mechanism 70 includes: a horizontal guide member 72 for guiding the camera 52 in a horizontal direction; and a first vertical guide member 74 and a second vertical guide member 75 for performing guidance in a vertical direction.
