<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sufficiently clean both of a driving roller and a driven roller without newly adding apparatus configuration. <P>SOLUTION: A printing apparatus includes: a first pickup roller 71 that picks up and feeds paper sheets P placed on a paper feed tray 2, one by one; the driving roller that rotationally drives about a rotating shaft; and the driven roller that rotates in press contact with the driving roller. The printing apparatus also includes: a second timing roller 83 that conveys the paper sheet fed by the first pickup roller 71 with rotation of the driving roller; a second press roller 52 and a second drum 51 that hold the conveyed paper sheet therebetween; and a control unit 92 that causes the first pickup roller 71 to feed the paper sheet having width shorter than the length of the driving roller in the rotating shaft direction, and causes the second press roller 52 and the second drum 51 to hold the fed paper sheet therebetween, thereafter, causes the driving roller to rotated backward. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
