The invention relates to an arrangement and method for estimating the remaining service life of drive trains. The arrangement comprises a component having at least one first and one second magnetically coded region, wherein the magnetically coded regions have different codes, magnetic field sensors for the contactless detection of the changes in magnetic field in the magnetically coded regions and a computation unit for determining torque values and force values from the changes in magnetic field and for calculating remaining service lives from the determined torque and force values.
