<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging device that has a communication function with a portable terminal and an external device and effectively suppresses power consumption during waiting. <P>SOLUTION: A charging device 20 comprises: a power supply circuit 26 supplying a charging circuit 22, communication circuit 23, and hub device 25 with operation power; and a discrimination circuit 24 controlling the supply of the operation power to these charging circuit 22, communication circuit 23, and hub device 25. The discrimination circuit 24 permits the supply of the operation power to the charging circuit 22, communication circuit 23, and hub device 25 on condition that connection with a portable terminal 1 is detected; and performs control so as to stop the supply of the operation power to the charging circuit 22, communication circuit 23, and hub device 25 when the connection with the portable terminal 1 is not detected. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
