<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric assist bicycle to which a battery can be attached regardless the dispersion of the fixed angle of the bicycle frame. <P>SOLUTION: The electric assist bicycle includes: a seat tube 5 in which a seat is arranged at an upper end; a chain stay 7 which is connected to a lower part of the seat tube 5 and extends to the backward, and retains a rear wheel 8 by the rear end side; an electric motor that drives a front wheel 3 or rear wheel 8; a battery 36 arranged between the seat tube 5 and the rear wheel 8; a lower part fixing device 30 that retains the lower part of battery 36; an upper part fixing device that retains the upper part of the battery 36, and has: a support shaft 22 that is arranged at either the seat tube 5 or the chain stay 7; and an adjustment fixed part 24 that is located at the other side. The lower part fixing device 30 includes: a backing plate 16 having one end side rotatably supported by the support shaft 22 and the other end side fixed so as to allow adjustment of the fixed angle through an adjustment fixing part 24; and a battery holder 29 that is fixed to the backing plate 16 and retains the lower part of the battery 36. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
