The invention relates to an instant beverage composition, in particular for producing a preferably non-cariogenic and/or reduced-calorie instant beverage by combining said composition with a drinkable liquid. The composition according to the invention is at least substantially free of saccharose and is present in the form of granules and/or an agglomerate, wherein the composition according to the invention contains (a) a combination of isomaltulose with at least one sugar which is different from saccharose and/or with at least one sugar substitute as the granules- and/or agglomerate-forming agent, and b) at least one aroma- and/or flavor-forming agent.
