<p>The present invention limits the scope of application of a QoS policy to switches on a path, and performs QoS control by user authentication without affecting the forwarding performance of switches outside of the path. Specifically, when communication is carried out from a user terminal to a certain server, an external controller is notified when a switch receives a new unregistered packet. When an entry for a flow is determined, the controller performs user authentication, determines the QoS policy for the user, calculates the optimum path from the QoS policy, topology information and flow information, generates a flow table on the basis of the calculation results, and registers the flow table to the switch on the user terminal and server path. The switch subsequently carries out forwarding according to the QoS for the registered flow table.</p> |
