<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projection type display device provided with a function that efficiently supports investigation into the cause of abnormality in a light source. <P>SOLUTION: A projection type display device 1 comprises: temperature sensors 21 and 22 for detecting temperatures within the device; a non-volatile memory 32; and a microcomputer 31. The microcomputer 31 counts cumulative lighting time of a light source 11, and records the temperatures detected by the temperature sensors 21 and 22 in the memory 32 in a manner capable of specifying the cumulative lighting time when the temperatures are detected. This makes it possible to record: power supply stop data 41 where a temperature at the time of stopping power supply to the light source 11 is associated with the cumulative lighting time; lamp abnormality data 42 where a temperature at the time of detecting abnormality in the light source 11 is associated with the cumulative lighting time; periodical data 44 that includes a temperature at each time when the cumulative lighting time runs beyond predetermined time; and temperature anomaly data 43 where a temperature at each time when the temperature detected by the temperature sensor 22 satisfies predetermined conditions is associated with the cumulative lighting time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
