<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable gain type amplifier that can meet cost reduction requirements while improving a noise figure at low frequencies of the order of several tens of MHz. <P>SOLUTION: In the variable gain type amplifier having an amplification circuit and a bypass circuit, the amplification circuit for amplifying an input high frequency signal includes a first transistor operative to amplify the signal, and a second transistor for conducting or interrupting an operating current for the amplification circuit, the high frequency signal is input into a gate of the first transistor, an amplified high frequency signal is output from a drain of the second transistor, and a capacitor element is connected between a drain of the first transistor and a gate of the second transistor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
