<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable lighting device which can attain bright illumination and miniaturization and has excellent heat radiation characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: In the lighting device, a plurality of insulating heat sinks 2 are arranged in an array state on a primary face of a base section 1. LED chips 3 are respectively arranged on the insulating heat sinks. The plurality of insulating heat sinks 2 and the plurality of LED chips 3 on the base section 1 are sealed with resin containing phosphor, and a resin molding section 4 containing phosphor is formed on the base section 1. A hemispheric resin molding section 5 is formed on the resin molding section 4 containing phosphor. A cylindrical support 6 is mounted on a rear side of the base section 1. A plurality of heat radiation fins 7 are arranged on an outer peripheral face of the support 6. The plurality of heat radiation fins 7 are radially extended outward from the outer peripheral face around the center axis of the support 6.
