<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image having higher image quality by suppressing speed variations of a liquid developer carrying roller. <P>SOLUTION: Driving force generated by a first driving source 35 is transmitted to a driving shaft 38 so as to rotate the driving shaft 38. Rotation of the driving shaft 38 is transmitted to a rotating shaft 28a of a developing roller 28 by a first endless belt 42 so as to rotate the rotating shaft 28a and the developing roller 28. Rotation of the rotating shaft 28a of the developing roller 28 is transmitted to a rotating shaft 26a of an intermediate roller 26 by a second endless belt 45 so as to rotate the rotating shaft 26a and the intermediate roller 26. Further, liquid developer is supplied to the developing roller 28 by rotation of the intermediate roller 26.
