<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for simply and economically producing alkylgalactoside improved in the content of alkyl galactopyranoside, and to provide an oral composition for dental caries prevention or gum disease prevention, depending on coaggregation suppression of oral bacteria. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided (1) a production method for alkylgalactoside improved in the content of alkyl galactopyranoside from crude alkylgalactoside, which comprises (a) a recrystallization step and (b) an extraction step, and (2) an oral composition for dental caries prevention or gum disease prevention, depending on coaggregation suppression of oral bacteria, which is the alkylgalactoside obtained by the (1) method, wherein the alkyl of the alkylgalactoside is 8C-12C saturated linear alkyl, and the composition contains 0.1-1 mass% alkylgalactoside having an isomer ratio of alkyl galactopyranoside to alkyl galactofuranoside (alkyl galactopyranoside/alkyl galactofuranoside) (weight ratio) of more than 80/20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
