<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle audio apparatus capable of reproducing a sound of a good tone quality by using a portable audio apparatus without impairing an aesthetic appearance. <P>SOLUTION: The portable audio apparatus is stored in a storage body 16, and a casing side connector 20 is joined to a voice signal output connector. The storage body 16 is pushed inside a casing 12, and the state of storing the storage body 16 in a storage chamber is held by a lock mechanism. Thus, in the storage chamber, the portable audio apparatus, the casing side connector 20 and a cable 20A are stored in a blocking-up space. A power source is input by operating a power switch of an operation part 110, and the portable audio apparatus is selected by a source changeover switch.
