<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold 12 capable of consistently producing a tire of high quality without impairing the productivity. <P>SOLUTION: This mold 12 has a vent piece 16. The vent piece 16 includes an end face 30 and a vent hole 50 to be communicated with the outside. The vent piece 16 is composed of a cylinder 32 and a plug 34 inserted in the cylinder 32. The plug 34 has the vent hole 50 and a first top face 38. The vent hole 50 extends outward from the first top face 38. The plug 34 is composed of a head 54 having the first top face 38, and a shaft 56 extending outward from the head 54. The cylinder 32 has a second top face 38, and an inner surface 42 extending outward from an inner edge of the second top face 38.
