<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively manufacture a brake disc having a petal-like outer peripheral shape, in relation to a method of manufacturing the brake disc used for a brake disc device of a motorcycle or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing a brake disc 1 includes processes of: forming, by press forming, the brake disc 1 into a petal-like outer peripheral shape where radial uneven parts 7a, 7b continue in the circumferential direction; and quenching the brake disc 1 by applying heat treatment thereto where a process of cutting the outer periphery of each projecting part 7b in accordance with a circular arc concentric with the rotating center of the brake disc 1 is performed before the heat treatment. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
