The problem addressed by the present invention is, without detracting from assembly characteristics, to be able to reduce the dimensions in the axial direction of an in-wheel motor drive device and to increase lightness by suppressing the thickness of an aluminum alloy housing to a minimum. The in-wheel motor drive device, which is provided with a wheel braking device, is characterized by the number of components being reduced and the dimensions in the axial direction being suppressed to a minimum by means of integrally forming the attachment member (72c) of the caliper (72b) of a disk brake (72), or the back plate (71b) of a drum brake (71), which is a constituent member of the wheel braking device, with an outboard-side end-surface member (22d) fastened to the outboard-side end surface of the housing (22b) of a reduction gear (B). |
