This manufacturing method for a spark plug includes a joining step to join a first member and a second member which constitute the spark plug. In the joining step, the first member and the second member are joined through resistance welding by electrically connecting, through the first member and the second member, a first welding electrode contacting the first member and a second welding electrode having an elastically deformable intermediate section and contacting the second member.
