<p>The purpose of the present invention is to provide a sulfolane composition in which an organic alkanolamine compound is coexistent with a sulfolane compound so that the possibility of generating an odor is reduced and the thermal decomposition of the sulfolane compound is suppressed and thus the generation of sulfur dioxide is reduced, while decreasing the amount of an additive used therefor. The present invention is a sulfolane composition which contains a sulfolane compound represented by formula (1) (wherein R1-R6 each independently represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1-6 carbon atoms) and an organic alkanolamine compound.</p>
