PURPOSE: A method for controlling a display apparatus and the display apparatus therefor are provided to more conveniently execute a desired operation. CONSTITUTION: An image display device traces the location of a displayed cursor(S101). In case the cursor moves out of the display screen, the image display device searches a motion corresponding to a cursor moving direction(S102,S103).
