摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a friction pad assembly capable of achieving reduction in cost and improvement in productivity by moderating the machining accuracy of components used and reducing the number of components. <P>SOLUTION: Each of a plurality of lining assemblies 13 arranged on a guide plate 11, in a back plate portion 22 fixedly attached to a back face of a friction material 21, includes: a plate fitting portion 22a with an outer peripheral surface freely rotatably fitted in a guide hole portion 11a provided in the guide plate 11; a retainer flange portion 22b having an outer diameter larger than that of the guide hole portion 11a; and a curved convex portion 22c formed to bulge from the center of the retainer flange portion 22b to a side close to a torque receiving plate 3.
