摘要 Provided are a method for producing a positive-electrode active material for a lithium-ion battery and a positive-electrode active material for a lithium-ion battery having a superior production efficiency and tap density. The method for producing a positive-electrode active material for a lithium-ion battery comprises steps in which provisional firing in a rotary kiln with respect to lithium-containing carbonate which is a positive-electrode active material precursor for a lithium-ion battery is performed to increase the mass percent of the total metal in the lithium-containing carbonate by 1 to 105 % compared to the mass percent prior to the provisional firing, and thereafter, full-scale firing is performed.
