PURPOSE: A ferrule hardening apparatus and method for an optical connector are provided to improve property and reliability of an optical component by locating optical fiber in the center of a ferrule without eccentricity. CONSTITUTION: A setting jig injects a thermosetting adhesive(13) inside a plurality of ferrules while the plurality of ferrules(10) as the perpendicularly parked state. Optical fiber(17) is inserted into the plurality of ferrules. A heating means adds heat to the plurality of ferrules supported to the setting jig. The optical fiber thermally hardens the thermosetting adhesive. The setting jig comprises a board-shaped support plate forming a plurality of ferrule insertion grooves. A hinge shaft is included at the center of the board-shaped support plate which can be bent.
