PURPOSE: An automatic tool exchange device of a machine tool is provided to protect a transfer mechanism from chips and cutting oil on a tool when a tool magazine is turned. CONSTITUTION: An automatic tool exchange device of a machine tool comprises a tool magazine(300) having an outer frame(310). The tool magazine comprises a standby port assembly(100) and a sub changer assembly(200). The standby port assembly is coupled to one side of the tool magazine. The sub changer assembly is connected to the tool magazine to be adjacent to the standby port assembly and exchanges a tool with the standby port assembly.
