<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video telephone apparatus which is capable of editing and working data such as a received image etc. and further transmitting the edited and worked data to the opposite side of the telephone-call. <P>SOLUTION: The video telephone apparatus allows transmission of an image to the opposite side of the telephone call via a communication line 101, allows display control means 114 to display, in a mode displayable on a display 150, the image data received from the opposite side via the communication line 101, and allows image editing means 115 to edit the received image data on the basis of an instruction from an input part 160.
